Yes. All armed officers hold current BSIS guard cards and firearms permits issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Exposed firearm permits are maintained for visible armed posts. Concealed permits, where applicable, are held by qualified officers assigned to posts that require them.

Can I hire armed security short-term?

Yes. Valcor provides both standing armed coverage and short-term event, visit, and threat-window deployments. Short-term assignments are scoped against a specific objective with a defined start and end date.

How do armed officers coordinate with law enforcement?

Armed officers operate as licensed private security, not in place of law enforcement. Our incident protocols require immediate notification of LAPD or appropriate authorities for any threat-of-life incident. Officers are trained to secure, report, and support — not to substitute for sworn response.
